Birthday Gift for my Mom

I made these cards for my Mom's Birthday from some plain white Cardstock and Stampin' Up! Cardstock from last year's In Color collection. I stamped the image with Stampin' Up! ink and Dew Drop Memento inks.
I sent a book of stamps and envelopes with them. She loved it!

Scrappy Sundays on Papercraft Planet

These three layouts were completed for Scrappy Sundays on Papercraft Planet. My favorite one is the one of my dog from Christmas 2008! I just love the photo of him.
The other two are very old photos from when my son was a baby (ten years ago) before awesome digital cameras. Though the photos aren't that great, I still want to commemorate them because they are very special to me.

"Nature"

So, I was looking through my photos on my computer that I hadn't scrapped yet to find a couple good ones for this week's Sketchy Thursdays sketch. I had them printed and brought them home... and realized that they are photos of my son fishing! Last week's sketch was also of fishing photos, so my real challenge was to make them as different as possible.
I love these photos! My husband took them on Mother's Day 2008.

A New Sketch

It was so much fun doing the sketch from Sketchy Thursdays this week, and today they have a new one, and I am excited to do it! I usually have a rather recognizable style, so these sketches add variety to my pages. Here it is for this week.

What I am Doing This Week.. (or Plan to)

My Friend, Lisa told me about Sketchy Thursdays and I have wanted to participate in a challenge with them for a while now, but haven't had the courage. So, this week I plan to go for it.
They have a new challenge to present every Thursday. Here is this week's challenge.
Have fun!

Why A Scrapping Blog?

Hi Everyone!
Scrapbooking is my passion. Anytime I get to work on a page, or help someone with a project, or SHOP for scrapbooking supplies, I am so excited.
My husband asked me why I wanted to start a Scrapbooking blog, and I really couldn't explain it. I don't really think that I am the best scrapbooker ever, and I certainly don't know everything there is to know about scraping. All I know is that it makes me happy, and I thought I might be able to share my passion and inspire others - just a little. I also thought - "Hey maybe I can keep all my favorite sites in one place."
I hope you will enjoy crafting with me. I look forward to "meeting" you. And even learning from you and your ideas as well!
